Auction and Appetizers

Wednesday, July 18 | 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a refreshing beverage and entice your taste buds just enough to hold you until dinnertime. Two hours is plenty of time to bid on your favorite items before heading out for an evening #OnlyInJax!

The auction will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. Light appetizers and beverages will be served.  To keep the auction to two hours, the live auction is limited to 50 items. All remaining donated items, if any, will be sold in the online auction. To be fair, only one item per donor will be sold in the live auction. If less than 50 items are received by June 27, then the C&S Oversight Committee will consider allowing a donor to sell multiple items. The C&S Oversight Committee will make final determination of items to be sold in the live auction, if necessary.

To participate in the Auction, simply donate an item by completing the donation form and return to the NAA by June 27. If 50 items are not received by June 27, items will be accepted for the live auction until we reach 50.

Proceeds from the Auction will go to the National Auctioneers Association, a 501c6 organization. The 10 percent buyer’s premium will go to the National Auctioneers Foundation, a 501c3 organization, to support and further their mission of funding scholarships and educational programs. Note: Please consult with a tax adviser to determine appropriate IRS tax deductions, if any.

At the end of the auction, there will be “Open Mic” time until 7:30 pm. The Open Mic time allows people the opportunity to use the stage, briefly, to practice their chant – for example, contract auctioneers, people competing in the IAC competition, etc. For those competing in the IAC, this is a good opportunity to get a feel for the stage, lights and sound, prior to Friday. No items will be sold during the Open Mic time.
